Said Audrey Hepburn. It is no secret I live a double life. One as a weekend warrior and one as office rat, specialized in Splunk Enterprise platform. And sometimes it happens that even my real job takes me places I enjoy. This time it was Paris and it was for sure a good idea.

I had to attend a quite in-dept and complete course as a prerequisite to get Splunk Certified Consultant accreditation. So during the day, we were listening to lectures and we were solving the difficult labs that the Professional Services team instructors threw at us. It certainly wasn’t a piece of cake, but not everyone can become Professional Services Consultant. I can compare the stress to my canyoning guide training. The only difference is, that it wasn’t so physically exhausting.

But in the evening I had the time to escape on urban photo hikes. And boy I was happy. We happened to have a whole week of sun, clear sky and temperatures in their low twenties. Just perfect! And since the autumn is kicking in, the light is so photographer friendly. Golden hour brings this city to a whole another level. I think September is really the month to go there. Besides the light and the temperature is that the day is still long enough (and not too long, so you can be back at the hotel in a reasonable hour) and there are fewer tourists than during the summer months.
